Love one of our dogs as your own while becoming a special part of the Valle Vista Doodles family.
At Valle Vista Doodles, we are a small, family-based breeding program. Our dogs are first and foremost beloved family pets, and we believe every dog deserves to grow up in a home where they receive individual love, attention, training, and companionship.
Our Guardian Home Program allows us to continue our breeding program without having a large number of dogs living under one roof. Instead, select future moms and dads are placed with carefully chosen local families who get to raise and love them as their own.
A Guardian Home is a forever family for one of our breeding dogs.
The dog lives with you full-time as your family companion while Valle Vista Doodles retains breeding rights for an agreed-upon period of time.
During their breeding career, we work closely with our guardian families to coordinate health testing, breeding appointments, pregnancy and other breeding-related needs.
Once the dog’s breeding career with Valle Vista Doodles is complete, they will be retired from our program and ownership will be fully transferred to their guardian family according to the terms of our Guardian Home Agreement.
They aren’t temporarily staying with you — you are their family and their forever home. 🤎
Keeping our program small is extremely important to us.
Guardian homes allow our breeding dogs to receive the individual attention and family life they deserve while still allowing us to preserve the wonderful health, temperament and qualities we want to continue in future generations.
Our goal is never to have a large kennel environment. We want our dogs sleeping in homes, playing with their families, going on adventures and simply getting to enjoy being dogs. 🐶🏡

Our guardian homes are carefully selected because these families become an important part of our program.
The ideal guardian family should:
• Live within an approved driving distance of Hemet, California (1-1.5hrs) possibly more distance if you are a great fit
• Provide a safe, loving and stable forever home
• Maintain routine veterinary and preventative care
• Keep their dog properly groomed and coat maintained
• Provide appropriate exercise, socialization and training
• Keep us updated and maintain good communication
• Be willing and able to transport the dog to us or meet us when needed for breeding-related appointments
• Follow our Guardian Home Agreement regarding breeding, health and general care
• Most importantly — love and spoil them as a member of the family!
Specific requirements may vary depending on the individual dog.
How Does Breeding Work?
For females, Valle Vista Doodles will coordinate with the guardian family when she comes into heat and when she is needed for breeding, pregnancy-related care and delivery.
When it is time to whelp her puppies, she will stay with us at Valle Vista Doodles for about 6-7 weeks so we can provide around-the-clock care for mom and her babies. Once her puppies are appropriately weaned and she is ready, she returns home to her guardian family.
For males, we coordinate with the guardian family whenever he is needed for breeding or reproductive appointments.
We always try to communicate dates and plans with our guardian families as early as possible.
Who Pays for What?
Guardian families are responsible for normal pet ownership expenses, including food, routine veterinary care, grooming, training, toys and everyday supplies.
Valle Vista Doodles is responsible for approved breeding-related expenses, including the reproductive care and testing required specifically for our breeding program.
Additional responsibilities and expenses are explained in detail in our Guardian Home Agreement before placement so both parties know exactly what to expect.
